Abstract

862,068. Earth-working equipment. AMERICAN BRAKE SHOE CO. Sept. 4, 1959, No. 30234/59. Class 68(1). A detachable nose portion 30 is located on the shank portion 31 of a digger tooth of earthworking equipment by lugs 57a entering sockets 57 and a pin 65 secures the nose and shank portions together, the pin being held in position by a C-shaped leaf spring 66 fitted over a boss 68 in a slot in the forward side of a keyway 60 extending through the nose of the shank portion. Three preferred embodiments are described in detail.
