862,050. Incandescent gas heaters. SWISS GAS STOVE CO. Aug. 28, 1957 [Oct. 1, 1956], No. 27047/57. Class 126. A surface gas burner element has a grate arranged outside the burner diaphragm to form additional radiating surfaces. A grate 5 of metal tapes arranged perpendicular to the diaphragm 4 is attached to the casing 1 of the burner. The tapes may be arranged to form a honeycomb, Fig. 1, or they may be alternately straight and corrugated, or zig-zag tapes may be arranged to form a honeycomb. Specification 826,673 is referred to.
