The shoulders b may be thicker than the body a of the radiant, so that the radiants are spaced apart when assembled over a burner d, Fig. 8. One or both of the surfaces of the body part may be concave, to provide suitable spaces, or radiants with shoulders: of the same thickness as the body parts may be assembled on notched rods, Fig. 9. The body part of the radiant may berectangular, semi-elliptical or trapezoidal.
