Abstract
861,654. Mixing of liquids in definite proportions. ZIPPEL, R., and ZIPPEL, B., [trading as ZIPPEL & CO. KOMM-GES, R.]. Oct. 31, 1958, No. 34922/58. Class 86 An apparatus for supplying two (or more) liquids in a predetermined ratio to a mixing device, and a method of spray painting with a two-constituent paint consisting of paint-base and hardener, comprises vessels 1, 2 whose cross - sectional areas are in the same ratio as that of the required quantities of the liquids contained therein; the same head of liquid being maintained in each vessel as the liquids are withdrawn. The head may be controlled visually and manually through sight glasses, and valves 4, or electrically through float devices (not shown). The liquids may be supplied to a mixing chamber 5; or to a two-constituent spray gun by compressed air admitted to the closed containers 1, 2, Fig. 2 (not shown) or by a pneumatic ram operating pistons in the containers, Fig. 3 (not shown).
