A bi-pin lamp-holder particularly for fluorescent lamps incorporating an integral reflector which require to be located at a plurality of angular positions, comprises an insulated body 1 having a. slot 2 and provided with curved contact members 9 having diametrically opposite indentations 10 which co-operate with the lamp pins, thus angularly locating the lamp. In a modification, Fig. 3, a centre-insulated rotatable paddle-wheel boss 16 is provided into which the lamp pins enter, the boss having a diametral slot 17 into which the lamp pins are inserted. On rotating the lamp the paddles rub against the indentations 10, thus moving the contact members outwards and relieving the lamp of the bending stress on the pins. This embodiment may also have contacts without indentations, the lamp being located by a clock stop mechanism such as a spring-urged ball engaging with indentations on the boss.
