860,964. Flexible couplings. GOETZWERKE F. GOETZE A.G. Nov. 26, 1958 [Nov. 26, 1957], No. 38205/58. Class 80 (2). In a flexible coupling comprising a polygonal member built up from rubber or like resilient blocks 1, at the junctions of which are bonded members 2 carrying metal sleeves for the reception of pins connected alternately to the driving and driven members, the internal profile of the sleeves is non-circular. As shown, each sleeve is made from two sheet metal stampings 3, 4 having longitudinal strengthening ribs 5, 6, and welded together. The ribs are shaped to provide for the reception of torque-transmitting pins 7, 8 of square section, Fig. 3, or circular section, Fig. 4, respectively.
