Abstract

860,272. Kinematograph apparatus; photographic roll film cameras. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Nov. 20, 1958 [Nov. 1, 1957], No. 34134/57. Classes 97(1) and 98(1) [Also in Group XVI] Film supply and take-up spools 11, 12 respectively are mounted for rotation about parallel axes. A reversible driving shaft 16 carries a driving pulley 19 for a belt 28 which frictionally engages the outer periphery of film 29 on the spools 11, 12 so as to cause simultaneous unwinding and rewinding of the film at a constant linear speed. The belt 28 passes round idler pulleys 26, 27 on a V-shaped arm 20 pressed upwardly of an arm 15 by a spring, not shown. The film may be guided by rollers 34 to pass through a camera shutter (not shown). In a modification, Fig. 3, the supply and take-up spools are mounted coaxially and are driven by separate belts 49, 50 carried by arms 41, 42.
