860,049. Motor-cycle windscreens. BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS CO. Ltd. Nov. 13, 1959 [Nov. 13, 1958], No. 36471/58. Class 136(1). A handlebar mounting for a windscreen support rod 3 comprises two resilient members 11, 12 engaging the handlebar, held within limbs 4 and 9 of U-shaped members 1 and 2 which are also shaped to embrace respectively the windscreen rod and handlebar. Both extremities of each limb are connected to both extremities of the other limb. Lugs 6 may be formed at the ends of the limbs 4 and are connected by bridge pieces 7 through which pass the limbs 9 of the member 2, tightening of nuts 10 clamping the whole assembly. A modified construction described has one limb of the member 2 hinged between one of the pairs of lugs 6, the other limb being detachably connected to the other pair of lugs 6.
