Abstract

859,522. Suction cleaners. REGORDOSA, L. P., and LLORT, S. L. May 22, 1959 [May 23, 1958], No. 17541/59. Class 8(1). A suction cleaner comprises a vertical casing 2 housing in its upper portion 4 a filter bag 6 and in its lower portion 5 apertured oil recovery plates 18 through which is discharged oil-laden air from a rotary vane pump 11 located in a second vertical casing 3 adjacent the first casing 2 and driven by a vertically mounted electric motor 10 through a vertical coupling sleeve 26. The pump draws through an aperture in the side of casing 12 through ducts 13, 15, Fig. 1 (not shown) and delivers through a duct 14 to the oil separator plates 18 and thence through an outlet 9 to which may be attached a blowing hose. Separated oil flows through an aperture 21 into a sump 22 and is then drawn through ducts 23, 24 to the pump bearings. Cleaning tools, are accommodated in socket joints 28.
