Abstract

859,165. Ring spinning &c. machines. BREVETS AERO-MECANIQUES S. A. Nov. 27, 1958 [Dec. 4, 1957], No. 38335/58. Class 120(2). Ring spinning and like machines with positively driven spindles and a spindle rail forming a gear case for the spindle driving gears has the spindle rail divided into sections so mounted that one end of each section is fixed to the machine frame while the other end is free to move under expansion arising from working temperatures. Each spindle rail section 3 may be secured, as by a bolt 10, to a stand 1. A centring ring 11 carried by the fixed section supports the free end of another section, a clearance being left between abutting sections. A layer of resilient material 12, such as sponge rubber, may be inserted in the clearance to prevent entry of hard particles limiting free expansion.
