Abstract

Class 52(5) A shelf-supporting bracket has a flat rear wall 1 from which projects a single securing lug 5 shaped to fit a circular hole or round-ended slot 15 in an upright 13 and having a depending lip 6 to engage behind the edge of the hole, the top surface of the bracket projecting at right angles from the rear wall to form the support for the shelf. The bracket is preferably pressed from sheet metal the top surface being formed by side wings 2 with turned-over upper ends 8 gapped at 10 to receive a wood-screw if wooden shelves are to be supported instead of a metal shelf 12 as shown. Specifications 763,045 and 823,786 are referred to.
