Abstract

844,892. Shelves. EVERTAUT Ltd. Feb. 27, 1959 [Dec. 12, 1957], No. 38600/57. Class 52(1) Metal shelves 4 of inverted tray shape are supported at their ends on cantilever brackets 3 a notched flange 14 at the front edge of the shelf engaging under a step 6 formed in the bracket web 5 to prevent lifting of the front of the shelf while the side 18 of the notch prevents lateral displacement. At the rear the shelf if secured to the top face 8 of the bracket by hooks 17 entering slots 9. The rear comers of the shelves are preferably notched to engage the uprights 2 and the brackets are of sufficient width to support the ends of adjacent aligned shelves in an assembly, filling pieces being used on the end brackets.
