Abstract
858,201. Clockwork actuation of switches. VENNER Ltd. July 30, 1959 [Aug. 1, 1958], No. 24922/58. Class 38 (5). A spring contact set 4 is controlled by an insulating member 18 on a lever 11 pivoted at 12 and connected by a spring 19 with a lever 5 pivoted at 6. The levers have parts 17, 9, respectively, which bear on the surfaces of concentric cams 23, 22 having cam recesses 25 . . . 28 giving different operating characteristics. The lever 5 has a tail 8 engageable with a tail 15 on lever 11. The arrangement is such that when lever 5 is cammed outwardly, the spring 19 pulls lever 11 inwards until the part 17 engages, its cam 23, and when lever 5 drops into a recess in the cam, the lever 11 is moved outwardly by the interengagement of the tail, 8, 15.
