Abstract

858,089. Tool - holders; milling cutters. O.K. TOOL CO. Inc. Oct. 16, 1959, No. 35100/59. Class 83 (3). A tool such as a milling-cutter, comprises a holder 1 having a recess into which a clamp is inserted, with two parts 2, 3, gripping a cutting- bit 4. One of the parts 3, Fig. 4, is expansible by a tapered screw-plug 9 to clamp the bit between the parts. The part 2 is shouldered to provide depth-location for the bit, and is connected by an adjustable-screw 13 to a basepiece 10 which seats on the bottom of the recess. The two parts may, alternatively, be connected together (Fig. 6, not shown).
