Abstract

858,014. Paperhangers' tools. ARMSTRONG, K. P. F. July 22, 1957, No. 23144/57. Class 20(2) A device for applying paper to ceilings comprises a tray 10 above which a roller 11 is supported by arms 12 pivoted at 13 and urged upwards by springs 15 or elastic. In use an extensible prop is fitted into a socket 16 and the roller 11 is pressed against the ceiling to retain the end of a length of folded paper L lying on the tray 10. The arms 12 may be telescopic or folding spring blades may replace the arms 12 and springs 15. The roller 11 may have an eccentric axis or may be replaced by a pad. A degree of friction may be given to the pivots 13 by rubber bushes.
