Abstract
788,034. Paperhanger appliances. SIMON, W. J. March 3, 1956, No. 6759/56. Addition to 749,807. Class 20(2) The adjustable strut 10, 11 for applying paper to a ceiling having inclined arms 16 with cross bars to support paper P and a spring foot 15 of the parent Specification is modified by the addition of a spring hook 27 pivoted on the upper clip 12 of the adjustable strut and adapted to engage a bolt 23 on a clip 22 adjustable on the upper member 11 of the strut to hold the strut in correct position. The clip 22 is adjusted to a position where it is in contact with the hook 27 after the strut has been adjusted with the cross bars 20 in contact with the ceiling, then the strut part 10 and spring foot are depressed to engage the hook with the clip 22. The strut is then ready for use. The paper is lifted on to the cross bars 20 by a carrier consisting of boards 28, Fig. 7 hinged together and having hand holds 30. Clamps are shown for securing the strut to a chair or table. Figs. 9, 10 (not shown).
