Abstract

856,478. Hydraulic motors. KAMPERMOTOREN G.m.b.H. July 22, 1959 [Aug. 1, 1958], No. 25219/59. Class 69 (2). An hydraulic axial-piston motor comprises a conical friction brake 9 united to the motor to form a single constructional unit, the brake being engaged by spring pressure and, when the motor is started, released by the fluid-pressure in the supply pipe 14 of the motor. The brake has a conical surface 9a which engages a corresponding surface 4a on a cylinder block 2 connected by grooves 3 to the output shaft 1. Pistons 5 in the cylinder are reciprocated by fluid-pressure from the supply pipe 14 and bores 6, and engages a swash-plate 7 to rotate the shaft 1. The fluid-pressure is also connected by pipes 12, 13 to the faces 10a, 10b of a double piston 10 which is connected to the brake by bolts 17 and moved against the force of the springs 15 to disengage the conical surfaces of the brake and cylinder. The tension in the springs may be adjusted by axial movement of a plate 16.
