A wood block flooring panel comprises wood blocks 13 arranged in a pattern and glued to a paper or felt, preferably bituminized felt, backing 11, the backing having holes 12, at least the equivalent of one per block, through which the bonding agent used contacts the blocks. Adjacent edges of the undersides of the blocks may be chamfered as at 10 to assist the flow of bonding material.
