[Also in Group VIII] In a parquet floor unit comprising wood blocks 12 secured by adhesive 11 to a sheet 10 of bituminous or other waterproof felt or paper, grooves 13 are provided along the longer edges of the undersides of the blocks to receive surplus adhesive 11 so that the blocks are not otherwise stuck to one another. The edges 16 of the backing may be bevelled or stop short of the edges of the unit.
