854,907. Aircraft flight air systems. SPERRY RAND CORPORATION. Jan. 1, 1957 [Jan. 3, 1956], No. 19740/60. Divided out of 854,904. Drawings to Specification. Class 40 (1). The description is the same as that of Specification 854,904 but the claims are for a system comprising means for providing a signal representing the displacement of a craft from a glide slope beam and adjustable means for deriving therefrom horizontal and vertical error signals representing changes in horizontal and vertical speed necessary to approach and maintain the desired glide slope. The system is particularly suitable as a helicopter instrument whereby the pilot can modify the airspeed when descending at a high rate or the rate of change of altitude when descending at a low rate. Specifications 854,905 and 854,906 also are referred to.
