Abstract

[Also in Groups XVI and XX] In a photographic reproduction apparatus having sheet feeding means for feeding sheets of sensitized paper and master sheets to a copying section of the apparatus (see Group XVI of the sensitized paper and the masters are fed in synchronism by oscillating arms 35, 36 carrying suction devices 39, 40. The superimposed sheets are fed to the copying section by rollers 30, 31. A guide plate 43 is provided on which are mounted photo-electric cells 44 and 45 co-operating with light sources 46 and 47. Each cell 44 and 45 is arranged to control the oscillation of the feed arms 35 and 36, by raising the arms 35, 36 to move away from the rollers 30, 31 when the cells are illuminated after the passage of the trailing edge of a sheet. Friction devices 48, 49 are also provided each comprising a swing- ing arm controlled in consonance with the movement of the arms 35, 36 so that a frictional drag is imparted to the sheets as they commence to be fed into the copying section.
