[Also in Groups XV and XVI] A finger-print reception sheet e.g. of cast coated paper, has a surface layer containing a chemical reactant, e.g. tannic acid applied in aqueous ethyl alcohol, to form a coloured impression (e.g. of ferric tannate) when e.g. a ferric salt is transferred thereto from an " ink reservoir " pad by the fingers.
