Abstract

852,885. Cabinets. WASSELL ORGANIZATION Inc. Dec. 16, 1958 [May 9, 1958], No. 40575/58. Addition to 852,013. Class 52(1) [Also in Group XV] A modification of the rotary file cabinet claimed in the parent Specification is concerned with the vertical panel for closing the opening in the housing. To provide improved access to and to maintain satisfactory storage capacity of the file, the vertical panel is formed of panels 96, 97, and 98, Fig. 1, arranged as shown. The housing has panels 91, 92, 93, 94, and 95 braced by upper and lower T-shaped members such as 99. The upper member 99 is of larger cross-section than the lower member, not shown, to permit the lower member of another housing to nest within the upper member when one housing is superimposed on another. A part circular plate 115, rotatably mounted by roller bearings, not shown, on an axle 101 has removable partition walls 120 engaging slots 116, 118. A roller 124, Fig. 3, on a spring-urged arm 122 engages indentions 110 in a collar 109 secured to the axle 101 to retain the plate 115 in required angular positions, the plate being retained with the panel in closed position by the roller 124 engaging a deeper recess 126.
