Abstract

851,386. Yarns and threads. PECK Ltd., H. T. H. Feb. 9, 1959 [Feb. 15, 1958], No. 5005/58. Drawings to Specification. Class 120(3). [Also in Groups VII and VIII] A combination thread used for seaming a woman's fully-fashioned nylon stocking comprises a temporary soluble yarn, e.g. silk, and a permanent yarn, e.g. nylon. The latter may be of the same count as that of the yarn from which the stocking is knitted, e.g. 15 denier, and the temporary yarn of a denier such that the combination thread is of the same count as the thread normal used in the seaming machine. In the Complete Specification it is stated that the combination thread may consist of 2/15 denier silk plus 2/15 nylon. It is also stated in the Provisional Specification that the combined thread may consist of 3 thread silk plus 1 thread (15 denier) nylon.
