A picker body 17 of nylon or polythene, having an initially uniform bore, is immersed in hot water, and self-oiling bronze bushes 14 of larger diameter than the bore in the body are forced in so that their outer ends are within the ends of the body, as at A; shoulders 19, 20, formed on cooling, lock the bushes in place.
