850,543. Ratchet clutches. PADOVA, H. Jan. 23, 1959 [Feb. 4, 1958], No. 3630/58. Class 80 (2). A free-wheel comprises a roller bearing having inner and outer races 1, 2 and rollers 3 (not shown), some of which are replaced by non-circular section rollers 4 each of which is biased into jamming engagement with the races by a spring- loaded plunger 6 located in a bore in the roller 4 and bearing against a ring 7 which is freely rotatable in a groove in the 'inner race and the outer surface of which is flush with the race.
