Class 20(1) [Also in Group XXXII] As shown in Fig. 1, the rear of a lorry has a cover 6 supported by a network of inflatable tubes 1, 2 and 3, the bounding tube 3 being contained within a trough 4 mounted on the lorry, straps or guys 5 being also provided. The tube system may conform closely to the contours of a vehicle &c. to be protected as shown in Fig. 6. The tubes may be duplicated or triplicated, or divided into separate valve-connected compartments to guard against air leakage and collapse. The system may be maintained inflated by means of constant supply of compressed gas, e.g. from a compressor and blowoff valve or from a cylinder of gas and a reduction valve.
