An electric contact is formed of an alloy of Pd 60-80%; one or more of Ni, Co or Cu 0.5-1.8%; Ag, the remainder and the co-operating contact is formed of an alloy of Au 50-80%; Ag, the remainder. The following alloys used for electric contacts are also referred to: Pt 89%-Ru 11%; Pt 64%-Pd 25%-Ru 11%; Ag 97%-Pd 3%; Ag 95%-Mn 5%; Ag 99.5%-C 0.5%; Ag 77%-Cd 22.7%-Ni 0.3%.
