Abstract
An alloy comprising 30 to 60% by weight of palladium, 30 to 60% by weight of cobalt and 8 to 25% by weight of copper. The proportions are preferably within the range 40 to 50% by weight of palladium, 30 to 50% by weight of cobalt and 10 to 20% by weight of copper, and the preferred alloy comprises 40% by weight of palladium, 50% by weight of cobalt and 10% by weight of copper. These alloys find particular use as electrical contacts particularly sliding contacts.
