Abstract
849,319. Photo-cells. MEGATRON Ltd., VESZI, G. A., and MARKUS,. P. Dec. 15, 1958 [Dec. 13, 1957], No. 38785/57. Addition to 728,212. Class 37 The photo sensitive surface of a photo-cell as described in the parent Specification is divided into a plurality of separate sections, each being provided with an electrode. Switching means may be provided to selectively connect one or more sections to an indicating instrument to provide multi-range facilities. The Figure shows a photo-sensitive surface having two concentric regions.2 and 3, supplied with metallic contact areas 6 and 5 respectively to which connection are made from the opposite side of the photo-sensitive layer by means of wires 8 and 9. The switching means for selecting the sections may also control the selection of shunt or series resistors associated with the indicating instrument.
