Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a clear hologram reproduced picture and improve an S/N ratio while preventing insulation destruction, by covering BSO of BGO entirely with an organic insulating film of polyparaxylene. CONSTITUTION:After Bi12SiO20(BSO) or Bi12GeO20(BGO) 1 is provided with electrodes 2 and 2' and lead wires 11 and 11', tie BSO1, electrodes and lead wires are covered with a transparent organic insulating film 10 of polystyrene, polyparaxylene, etc. The polyparaxylene is transparent, has 10<17>OMEGAcm high insulating resitance and forms as even thin film by vapor deposition. To further improve the brightness of a reproduced picture, the 1st layer 13 having n=2 and nd=lambda/2 and the 2nd layer 14 having n=1.4 and nd=lambda/4 are formed, attaining <=1% reflectivity. The BSO has photoconductive effect and electrooptical effect and is usable on a online basis and reusable.
