Abstract

848,680. Shaping dough pieces. GIMELLI & CO. A. G. June 9, 1959 [Nov. 13, 1958], No. 19711/59. Class 87(2). A dough-shaping device comprises a perforated disc 12, which is screwed into the end of a cylinder 10, and a plunger 15 which can be moved along the cylinder, to force dough from it through the perforations, either by pressure on a knob 17 or by operation of a lever 22. In the first case the knob is turned so that a rack 20 along part of the periphery of the plunger is out of engagement with spring-loaded pawls 18, 19 ; in the second case the rod is turned to cause engagement of the pawls and then, when the lever 22 is depressed, a pawl 18 engages the rack and the plunger is lowered and when the lever is raised the plunger is held down by the engagement of a pawl 19 with the rack. The plate 12 is exchangeable with others to present different perforations and thus to result in the extrusion of different patterns of dough.
