Abstract

846,181. Spray-producers. RHEEM MANUFACTURING CO. July 2, 1958, No. 21215/58. Class 69 (3). Liquid is fed through the hub 7 of a rotor 6 and flows through an aperture 31 into a chamber 32 in a plug 17, and then passes through circumferentially spaced radial passages 36 and strikes the wall 42 of a flange 41 of a cupshaped member 23 and is deflected to an annular surface 43 of the rotor. The upper surface 48 is frusto-conical and has a number of radially extending grooves 50 of varying depths so that the liquid flows through them and is flung therefrom in a relatively wide pattern and passes through a perforated metal band 61 and a screen 52 secured between the rotor and a cover-plate 12.
