845,176. Cylinders. DAIMLER-BENZ A. G. Oct. 10, 1958 [Oct. 15, 1957], No. 32461/58. Class 7(2). Cylinder-head gasket means, protected from combustion gases by a cylinder liner collar 8 projecting without contact into a cylinder-head groove 11, comprises an asbestos gasket 6, a rubber-asbestos gasket 7 and a soft-iron ring 2 clamped with a liner shoulder 4 between the cylinder head and a cylinder jacket shoulder 14. A rubber gasket 17 in a liner or jacket groove seals off the gasket means from a liquid-coolant space (not shown).
