Abstract
845,010. Bakers' ovens. LEUTHAUSER, G. Dec. 3, 1956 [Dec. 3, 1955], No. 36823/56. Class 51 (2). In a baker's oven having a plurality of superposed baking chambers 1 heated by elements 2 and provided with floors 3 sloping towards the entrances, articulated drawplates 4 are moved into or out of the chambers by chain and sprocket gearing 5, 6 on each side thereof and operated from a platform 8 which may be positioned at each baking chamber. The platform is suspended by chains 9 on sprocket wheels 10 rotated by a handle 12, said chains having counterweights 13 at their free ends. As the platform reaches each oven chamber level, lugs 21a, Fig. 3, of coupling discs 21 on a driving shaft 20 carried by said platform engage slots 22a in sprocket wheels 22 connected by chains 23 to the gearing 5, 6 moving the drawplates. The driving shaft 20 is rotated by handle 17 through a gear train 27, 28, 29 and 30. Guide rolls 16 and 19 which take up the empty draw plate are also driven from the same source. The drawplates are either wound on the roll 19 or piled up beyond it. Goods entering the oven may be sprayed with water through a pipe 24 and atomizers 25.
