Abstract

843,432. Superheterodyne receivers; frequency-changing circuits. KOLSTERBRANDES Ltd. March 8, 1957 [March 15, 1956], No. 8083/56. Classes 40(5) and 40(6). The input circuit of a triode self-oscillating frequency-changer comprises a balanced capacitor bridge, formed by condensers 16, 26 and the ganged tuning condensers 24, 25. The signal input is applied across one diagonal of the bridge, from inductance 15, while the oscillator coil 23 is connected across the other diagonal: oscillations are generated by back-coupling from the anode circuit via the tuned I.F. circuit 21 and blocking condenser 22. Condensers 27, and/or 28 may be provided for the purposes of tracking. Resistor 29 may be adjusted to give I.F. regeneration. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 762,743.
