Class 64(3) [Also in Groups XXVIII and XXXVI] A cooling arrangement for an electric circuit comprises a member 24, Fig. 3, removably mounted in a larger assembly and on which electronic equipment is mounted, and pipes 32 disposed within the member 24 and connected to cooling oil conveying pipes 4 in the assembly by means of self-sealing valves 1, 23 respectively provided in the adjacent ends of the pipes 4, 32, the valves being such that they both open when connection is made between the member 24 and the assembly. The member 24 consists of a panel assembly formed of insulating panels 37 mounted on both sides of a heat-conducting metal panel. The valve 1, Fig. 2, consists of a spring-loaded valve member 9 having a conical part 11 with spacing members 12, 13 extending therefrom, the part 11 sealingly engaging a circular lip 8 formed in a bush 5, Fig. 1 (not shown), provided in the pipe 4, and the member 13 being slidable in a sleeve 16 provided in a cover 18 secured to the pipe 4. The valve 23 comprises a spring-loaded ball member 29 which bears against circular lips 28 of a raised cylindrical housing 25 extending into the member 24 and cooperating with a depression in the pipe 4. An annular spacing member 33, with a part thereof removed, is fitted in a groove in the housing 25. When connection is made between the pipes 4, 32 the valve members 9, 29 co-operate to open the valves 1, 23 travel of the valve members in either direction being limited by the spacing members 12, 13, 33 so, that oil flow between the pipes 4, 32 is maintained in all possible positions of the valve members.
