Abstract

841,947. Manifolding devices. LAMSON PARAGON Ltd. April 26, 1957 [May 18, 1956], No. 15654/56. Class 16. [Also in Group XVI] A flexible support sheet for a carbon glove has near its trailing end means for detachably securing it to the carriage of a manifolding attachment for a typrewiter and slots at its leading end to which the carbon glove may be detachably secured, one or both of these attaching means being adjustable to permit the glove to be disposed in two or more different positions relative to the carrier. Sheet 1 of linen, stiff paper, &c. has four pairs of holes 2 which receive ends 6a of bar 6 attached to backing sheet 3. Carbon sheets are disposed under backing sheet portion 4a of sheet 3 and attached to the edges of slots 4, webs of stationery being threaded through the slots. The supporting sheet may be attached to the carriage by either holes 7 or 7a. Ears 8 when bent downwards serve as guides for the edges of the stationery webs. Holes 2 may be differently spaced according to the number of carbon sheets to be used i.e. an odd number or an even number. Holes 2a are for use with narrower carbon papers.
