Abstract

841,583. Fibre drawing devices. SPINTEX SPINNEREI-MASCHINENBAU G. m. b. H. March 25, 1957, No. 9679/57. Class 120(2). A bottom apron tensioning device has a pivoted stirrup to press against the apron under the influence of a leaf spring coiled around a carrier bar. The stirrup 4b has an apron guiding member 5 and a cross-member 4a against which the leaf spring 1 bears. The other end of the spring 1 embraces the carrier bar 3 and is held in a groove 2 in it. The carrier bar 3 may extend through a machine and be adjustable through levers 10 and arms 9 to alter the tension applied to the apron 6. Instead of passing into a groove in the carrier bar, the inner end of the spring may pass into a slot in a sleeve pressed on to the carrier bar. The stirrup may have a lateral opening for admission of the apron and a cover for the leaf spring integral with the stirrup which may be made of a thermosetting plastic.
