Abstract

866,180. Thread-separators. GAUNT, RHODES & BOWER Ltd. Oct. 19, 1959 [Dec. 2, 1958], No. 38773/58. Class 120(2). A device which when provided with vertical guards 9 and attached to a spinning &c. machine comprises a base 1 adapted to be secured to the machine having lugs 5 in which the guards can be inserted. The base 5 of metal or polythene with end-rebates to nest with similar adjacent devices and the lugs are connected &c. to it in pairs with a rounded channel between them, reinforcements 6 being provided. The guards are of transparent material, and have beads 10 so that the lugs can be forced apart to grip the guards which are adjustable cross-wise.
