Abstract

841,269. Mixing appliances. EVOMASTICS Ltd. Oct. 10, 1958 [Oct. 15, 1957], No. 32179/57. Class 86 [Also in Group XXVIII] A container for mastic and the like for use with an extrusion gun comprises an outer container 1 filled with basic material 3 and an inner container 11 consisting of a plastic bag, filled with an activator or other secondary material which is to be mixed with the basic material immediately before use. A disc stirrer 8 has an extended hexagonal boss 10 and flaps 9 alternately raised in opposite directions. Before use, a rod 14, Fig. 3 (not shown), is screwed into boss 10; it carries a guide screwable on to the threads 5, and its remote end may be adapted to be gripped in a drill check. Upon rotation of rod 14 and stirrer 8 the flaps 9 cut the bag 11 and the disc 8 is then reciprocated to mix the two substances. When mixing is complete the rod 14 is unscrewed leaving the disc 8 at the bottom of the container next to the piston 2 with the plastic bag 11 trapped between them. The contents are extruded by manual or mechanical pressure on the piston 2, through a nozzle which may be screwed to the seating 4.
