Abstract

840,394. Moulding refrigerator doors &c. PRESSED STEEL CO. Ltd. June 25, 1958 [June 26, 1957], No. 20175/57. Class 78(2). [Also in Groups VIII and XIII] A refrigerator door is moulded by sealing two sheets 11, 12 of thermoplastic resin around their periphery, placing them between dies 14, 15, which may be heated by steam, induction or other electrical heating, and then blowing or sucking the sheets into contact with the mould. After moulding a sheet may be slit and filled with an insulating material e.g. a foamed resin. Alternatively, insulating material may be placed between the sheets before their edges are sealed.
