840,328. Rubber springs; hydro-pneumatic spring suspensions. MOULTON DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. May 6, 1958 [Feb. 13, 1957], No. 4931/57. Classes 108(2) and 108(3). In a vehicle suspension device springing is provided by a rubber compression spring 1 and a pneumatic spring comprising a rubber container 6 containing air or nitrogen 7 under pressure. Damping is provided by hydraulic liquid which fills spaces 10, 11 and damping valves 8, 9. The rubber spring 1 may be strengthened against hydraulic pressure by wire windings or rings.
