Abstract
838,230. Adjustable shoots for biscuits. BAKER PERKINS Ltd. Dec. 20, 1957 [Jan. 2, 1957], No. 140/57. Class 78 (1). Rows of biscuits slide down surface 1, each row of biscuits A sliding down in tilted position (Fig. 4) on a guide 29 to minimize friction. Transverse adjustability (Fig. 1).- The set of guides 29 are secured to two elastic strips 26 positioned below transverse gaps 11 cut into the surface 1. Each strip is adjustably tensioned, the strip being secured at each end to sleeve 23, which is mounted on bolt 19 carried by bar 16 adjustably secured at 18. The tension of the strips and, therefore, the transverse spacing of the guides, is thus adjustable by thumb-wheel 24. Alternatively, instead of elastic strips, an elongated spring or lazy tongs may be used.
