Abstract
1510391 Endless conveyers PRECISION PACKAGING MACHINERY (YORKSHIRE) Ltd 7 Jan 1977 [14 Jan 1976] 01326/76 Heading B8A Articles 12 on a conveyer 11 are alternately held up and released singly by to-and-fro movement of guide rail 14 the position of which is controlled by sensing means 17. The time between consecutive movements of the guide rail 14 may be altered by adjustment of the sensing means. As shown the sensing means comprises spaced switches 18, 19, switch 18 acting when contacted by an article to move the rail to hold up further articles and switch 19 acting to move the rail to release a further article. The distance between switches 18, 19 is adjustable thus determining the spacing of the articles. In another embodiment (Figs. 5 to 8, not shown) one switch is upstream of the movable rail and the other switch is opposite the movable rail.
