A watch bracelet comprises a wristengaging clip 1 provided with an arcuate watch-engaging strip 2 slidable between the clip and a retaining member 3, which is secured to the clip by e.g. rivets 4 passing through a slot 5 in the strip 2, and which is spaced from the clip 1 by a distance piece 6 located in the slot 5 in the strip 2 to guide the latter. Preferably two such strips 2 are employed. The slots 5 in the strips 2 are covered by the arcuate retaining members 3. The pieces 6, the ends of which limit sliding of the strips 2, are thicker than the adjacent parts of the strips 2, so that they take the thrust when the rivets are being set. The strips 2 are held frictionally in their adjusted positions by pre-stressing them to press on the retaining members 3 or vice versa. To facilitate bending the hooked watch-engaging ends 7 of the strips 2 into eyes they are longitudinally slitted to form separate teeth; the latter may be pressed towards each other or spread apart to suit different lengths of watch bars 8. The part of the clip 2 lying beneath the watch may be padded. The pieces 6 may be separate members or may be either integral with, or previously attached to, either the clip 1 or the retaining members 3.
