A rotary fan 6 sited in the lamp housing below the bulb 2 drives cooling air between the walls 3, 4 through the channels defined by the vanes 5. A front opening 8 in the walls 3, 4 provide for emission of the light from the bulb, and a rear opening 9 houses the reflector 10.
