Abstract

1,120,777. Cooling projection lamps. ZEISS IKON A.G. 10 July, 1967 [29 Sept., 1966; 22 Nov., 1966], No. 31719/67. Heading F4R. [Also in Division G2] A housing 1 for a projection lamp 2, e.g. a high pressure discharge lamp, is fitted with a fan 5 for directing a stream of cooling air on to the lamp and a second fan 4 which draws off the hot air from the walls of the housing. A tube 8 may be provided for directing a separate stream of air from the fan 5 on to an auxiliary reflector 3a for the lamp. The housing has air inlets 9 at the bottom to provide additional cooling air, the output of the fan 4 being greater than that of the fan 5.
