Abstract

In a process for preparing a rubber-lignin composition which is much harder and stiffer before than after being deformed, a composition of rubber and lignin with or without other ingredients is milled at a temperature below 80 DEG C. in the presence of from 4 to 20% by weight of water, calculated on the lignin, and the milled composition is vulcanized at 120 DEG to 170 DEG C.
