836,042. Electrodialysis. PERMUTIT CO. Ltd. April 3, 1958 [April 11, 1957], No. 11903/57. Addition to 824,929. Drawings to Specification. Class 41. The electrodialytic cell of the parent Specification is modified by inserting two rigid spacers at intervals in the assembly instead of one, thus providing groups of cells each located between two rigid spacers, the rigid spacers of each group being held together by bolts, and a plurality of groups being held between endplates likewise connected by bolts which may pass through the rigid spacers, or through the rigid and flexible spacers. The liquid being concentrated should be passed through those compartments formed within two adjacent rigid spacers, or a separate liquid of a highly concentrated salt passed therethrough.
